Eric Alterman, "Kabuki Democracy: The System vs. Barack Obama"

About the Program

Eric Alterman, columnist for The Nation and English and Journalism professor at Brooklyn College and CUNY Graduate School, argues that President Obama has been unable to deliver on many of his 2008 campaign pledges. Mr. Alterman points to the American political system as the main obstacle in preventing passage of a more progressive agenda. Eric Alterman discusses his book at Busboys & Poets in Washington, D.C.
