FOX NEWS INSIDER: "Stuff Is Just Made Up"
Edited on Thu Feb-10-11 03:26 PM by Grassy Knoll
Source: mediamatters

Asked what most viewers and observers of Fox News would be surprised to learn about the controversial cable channel, a former insider from the world of Rupert Murdoch was quick with a response: “I don’t think people would believe it’s as concocted as it is; that stuff is just made up.”

Indeed, a former Fox News employee who recently agreed to talk with Media Matters confirmed what critics have been saying for years about Murdoch’s cable channel. Namely, that Fox News is run as a purely partisan operation, virtually every news story is actively spun by the staff, its primary goal is to prop up Republicans and knock down Democrats, and that staffers at Fox News routinely operate without the slightest regard for fairness or fact checking.

1. Typical Republiconism at Fox - screwing over America with FALSE info
Why do Republicons lie so often?

Why are Republicons ashamed to tell the truth?

That's some pretty damn sick anti-American shit they got going down with their high-tech digital Republicon Bullshit Broadcast Machine.

5. I always wonder about their staffers
Are they just working for a living, and really don't care what they say or do? (It's just a job)
Are they truly hard core wingers by nature or have stock or family on Wall Street?
Do they know what they are doing and really believe in it? If not, how do they sleep at night?

11. Iron clad non-disclosure agreements, and contract stipulations that forbid them from working for any

other media outlet for a certain amount of time if they blab. You see how NBC kept Conan off the air, imagine that treatment but with a hefty fine instead of a payday.

7. David Letterman SAID this exact thing to Bill O'Reilly
He pretty much said to Bill - you make this stuff up. There's bound to be a youtube link, alas, I cannot get into youtube from work.

9. If other media outlets were smart they'd air interviews with that insider
What better way to discredit a competitor then to air their own ex-employees saying that they make things up and don't care about the truth, only promoting a political party?

Yet of course, CBS, ABC, NBC, etc, are too moronic and spineless to run such a story. >_>

13. Meh. What good would it do?
"Oh he's just a disgruntled employee, of course he's going to say that." It's an obvious answer because it's happened so many times already, anytime a whistleblower steps forward in just about any field. "It didn't seem to bother him BEFORE he got upset at them, did it. Makes you suspicious..." :puke:

The simple fact is that we've known forever that it's true. If someone doesn't know it's true at this point, its because they will never be convinced of it. It's easier to cover your ears and scream 'lalalalalala' than to listen to a truth that might expose a weakness in your line of critical thinking. If there's one thing people absolutely HATE, it's being proven wrong/silly/suckered/taken/etc.

14. If all your news comes from the same type of source.
How would you know if it is true or not?

There are ways, I learned it when looking at the supernatural. You can't know if any of the supernatural is correct, since it all comes from the supernatural.

You can learn by contradictions, some lie, and some are not correct. And worse some are correct some of the time in some contexts, removing the 'what would the other side say, then reverse it argument'

So like anything, you can know by how they act.

And they have not sent me the beer and travel money that is due.

15. Their Viewers Expect The Lies...Their Daily Affirmation
This isn't a new revelation or even vindication...it was proven years ago. Those who watch that fetid swamp do so not only willingly but in need of it to enforce and maintain their own conveluted views of the world. So Faux makes shit up? That's what their ilk want...a parallel universe where all is black and white (and almost always white). They're just delivering what their consumers want.

16. SHOCKING!
The pity is, those who have been sopping this shit up won't believe it even if it is stated every day on air for 10 years... just like they still believe there were WMD and the Iraq war was justified.
