Rape the country, start illegal wars, fuck over the poor, let people suffer and die over poor policies - and then you run on how proud you are of said policies.

But a nude pic will make someone resign?

The harm a nude pic did? How about the harm tons of other policies do (and not just talking about Lee here)?

If someone wants to resign do it because of all the people you have hurt outside of your family and friends, you know - like the harm done by voting for crap that has, and continues, to harm people all across the US.

When a nude photo causes someone/party members more shame than all of their wars and suffering they inflict things are really fucked.

Reminds me of Jim McGreevey here in NJ. He used his coming out as an excuse to resign, to distract the possible attention from ethics charges that were likely to blow.

Something big was hanging over Lee, and this was his excuse to cut and run, and hopefully prevent the need for the really damaging stuff from being know.
