<snip>

Your chances of dying are one in one.

But how exactly you will die is up in the air. While the most common causes of death are often medically related, there are some surprising ways you can easily meet your end.

The National Safety Council annually releases Injury Facts, which lists the most current statistics on fatal and nonfatal accidents worldwide. The most recent list, published in the 2010 edition, looked at data collected in 2008.

Check out the slideshow below to see the top 22 causes of death, according to the NSC's Odds of Dying chart...

I also think that stupid show 10,000 ways (or how ever many) to die is the most horrible show to ever exist!

2. Interestingly. The statement that the odds of death are one in one, is not literally accurate.
How can you say death is inevitable, if you have not died, isn't that presuming a condition occurs because you presume to have seen it happen to someone else?

It is inevitable that some form of transition or movement to somewhere exists, including possibly lack of existence, although to presume lack of existence occurs would be making a statement about what can not be known by anyone alive that has not gone through that transition.

Therefore death is not inevitable by observation, only a transition that can be assumed to be many things by many people is inevitable by observation.

8. Clearly way too common for everyone to get medical care for them!
Edited on Wed Feb-09-11 09:35 PM by HereSince1628
It's just toooooo common to be called a risk, it's a virtual certainty!

You can't let people call the fire department to put out fires once they happen!

We must have private insurance which can make sure that the "right" people get access to affordable preventive care and treatment for those who have done all the right things but still got ill.

9. Guns and ammo show up three times on that list:
Accidental discharge
Assault by firearms
Self harm.

Combined puts the menace much closer to the top.
