You could make it on your own, living off guts and bootstraps. Well, try this game, and see how far you get.

1. The government should help people.
But not for control or compliance, but to remove the control and compliance forced on them by the consolidations of the corporate state. By adding security in food, housing, energy, and health. People are more free to innovate, learn, teach, feel and think.

Governmental assistance without strings as a method to correct consolidations I support.

3. bootstrap people
need to get real honest. They need to only interact with others who are real bootstrappers. What this means is that they cannot see any doctor who has gotten their education from government programs, they cannot be checked out at a store by a person who ever received any kind of assistance, they cannot have their car, plumbing or electricity fixed by anyone who has ever received any kind of assistance, they cannot have their kids educated by a school that employs anyone who has had assistance.

Also - they cannot work for anyone who has ever had assistance.

If they believe they are really their own "islands" they need to live by that.

6. I ended the month with 9 bucks.
I guess I already know how to play spent because I am spent...by the end of the month, have been for years. The game does not have the co-occuring complexity of the real life decisions you have to make to balance budgets when in poverty, but it's good for starters.
