ALl this MSM talk about the protesters just wanting Mubarak to leave is an #A7A #FAIL.

One of their demands is to stop Western weapons traffic through the canal, weapons that kill their brothers and sisters in Iraq and Afghanistan specifically.

You probably saw that already. I just like repeating it because of the concerted effort to paint these protesters as unreasonable children who won't go home after getting their pony.

I don't know what the Egyptian Army would do. Good damn question. What do you think?

70. Depends who is in charge.

It would be very hard to accept sitting down. The big shots could hang with it for the rewards to be had but nobody else would. Quite likely a mutiny if that happened.

I'd hate to see the Egyptian armed forces have to fight the US and Israel at once, Serbia x 100.

Statement III

Egypt's workers fall system corruption and privatization
9 February 2011
Publisher:
SRs

The past few days have seen dozens of protests by unions represented in the strikes and sit-ins and demonstrations in many companies and factories to overthrow the Mubarak regime's policies, whichhad corruption and tyranny and starvation as its main features, which Egypt suffered by workers in recent years with the Egyptians.

Recent years have witnessed the largest series of labor protests and trade union rights through the rule of Mubarak, attended by nearly 2 million workers, and has succeeded in challenging the emergency law to impose the demonstrations and sit-ins in the streets of Egypt's major, most notably the occupation of Street People's Council for long periods and attempt to storm Parliament, as well as challenge the laws restricting the freedoms of grabbing the right to strike, as workers also succeeded in extracting the independent trade unions in light of the severe repression and raised high the banner of "minimum wage Aychen me in the grave."

Today the protests spread in the length of Egypt and the display.
Hometown Carpet Company, the Egyptian Iron and Steel Company in Suez and Trust for textile industries and Suez Naval Shipyard and information centers and printing presses Rose Al-Youssef and the Postal Authority and Sigma drug and Telecom Egypt.

The movements of labor and trade union is now able to direct the final blow to this corrupt regime who stole the workers and confiscated their rights based on the program corrupt and orderly privatization as well as the General Federation of workers headed by agents of the regime who overextend themselves in the rights of workers for the benefit of businessmen in the worst forms of mating between power and money.

We will not forget the outstanding role played by the General Union of Tunisian Workers, which was the spearhead in the battle of the Tunisian people to overthrow the regime of Ben Ali.

We Nt our workers to the formation of rebel labor committees in all factories and companies to defend their rights and gains of the labor movement and support of the Egyptian revolution.

As we join our voice to the Egyptian workers, the rebels in the claim the following:
The right to form independent trade unions as a constitutional right of workers
Raise the minimum wage to 1200 pounds with the pay rates
Restore what has been looted from companies and public sector companies that are legitimate king of the people
We are all one hand, young people and professionals, workers and peasants - to topple the regime of corruption and despotism

Down with the system .. Down with the Union government traitor!
Long live the struggle of the working class
Long live the struggle of the Egyptian people
Glory to the martyrs and the victory of the revolution

Egypt protesters defy VP warnings they must stop

Egyptian anti-Mubarak protesters near Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt. More photos »

By MAGGIE MICHAEL, Associated Press – Wed Feb 9, 9:26 am ET

CAIRO – Egypt's anti-government activists called on supporters Wednesday to expand their demonstrations in defiance of the vice president's warning that protests calling for President Hosni Mubarak's ouster would not be tolerated for much longer.

Vice President Omar Suleiman, who is managing the crisis, raised the prospect of a new crackdown on protesters Tuesday when he told Egyptian newspaper editors there could be a "coup" unless demonstrators agree to enter negotiations. The protesters insist they won't talk before Mubarak steps down, which the president is refusing to do.

"He is threatening to impose martial law, which means everybody in the square will be smashed," said Abdul-Rahman Samir, a spokesman for a coalition of the five main youth groups behind protests in Cairo's Tahrir Square. "But what would he do with the rest of the 70 million Egyptians who will follow us afterward."

Suleiman is creating "a disastrous scenario," Samir said. "We are striking and we will protest and we will not negotiate until Mubarak steps down. Whoever wants to threaten us, then let them do so," he added.
For the first time, protesters were calling forcefully Wednesday for labor strikes after Suleiman warned that calls by some protesters for a campaign of civil disobedience are "very dangerous for society and we can't put up with this at all."

Seriously, I know burning charcoal contaminates the atmosphere, but an hour and a half slow-cooking a tajine over five-or-six pieces of charcoal must be one of the most energy-efficient cooking methods know to man (apart from solar ovens, of course).

Event: presidential visit Egyptian city of Geneva, including a delegation press release accompanying the Egyptian president who built Hotel Noga Hilton, overlooking the Lake Geneva popular with the president serving a visit semi-official, but he was doing something of recovery in a hospital in Geneva, which I found appropriate for Hassan welcomed the Egyptian President to make Supervisor Staff treating doctor, an Egyptian working for the same hospital is the doctor Alaa Bayoumi

...

What concerns us that this man is the captain of the Egyptian journalists who enjoys the confidence of the system, and probably comes to mind that I did not speak during that period because I am afraid his strength as a member of a union of journalists or the like, but I explained that I was not a member of days in the Press Syndicate did not try to attend Even when the press was the career official, but the story as a whole was not interested because they do not represent anything for me the story of a forgotten but when I found the captain of journalists engaged in the symptoms of demonstrators in Tahrir Square and talking filth about the protesters and demonstrators spend happy times on the ground in a gesture of dirty decided to remind him Similarly, the ancient Egyptians, who says (which house people from Qazzaz Mihdysh brick), and as long as Makram Mohamed Ahmed, a man not only of his glass, but the whole history, it might be worth it to disappear completely from the scene

Tahrir Square Room in America--Whoolery Style
Could not get the girls to go to bed because they all wanted to join in the protests in Tahrir Square. So I told them I'd record them and send it out to everyone. Seriously though, our hearts are with all of you. Long Live Egypt!

Samara was particularly proud to carry the flag of her home country! Blessings to you all.
