seriously disgusted.
They are going to talk about their choices for 2012, so that is why I was watching, but they have just spent the first segment unloading pure hatred and right wing talking points against Obama.
A full 1/3 to 1/2 of them admitted they think he is a Muslim, and they they think he "sympathizes" with Muslims and that dictates his foreign policy.
They all believe he hates America and isn't proud of it. He apoligizes too much. They want a President who loves his country and Obama does not love America.

The hatred and ignorance is stunning.

On edit, so ya'll are not forced to watch this shit: They like Huckabee and Chris Christie. They like Palin and Gingrich.
Most of them do not like Romney.

1. Oooh goody, Frank Lunkhead!
Guy I know who is a Republican media consultant (and pretty successful with it) considers Luntz a fool and poltroon.

12. What I found intersting was he was obviously pushing Romney, claiming the group was Pro Huckabee and
Romney, but in actuality it seemed only 2 in the group liked Romney and the others didn't.
I think Faux News is pushing Romney. I think they know Palin is not electable so they have decided Romney is their guy. O'Reilly has been pushing Romney lately.

19. If they hate Obama for being a Muslim
how could they even consider a Mormon??
Most Christians feel Mormons are nothing more than a cult

20. Ever seen a brown Mormon?
No? Then there you go. Mormons aren't as scary to the average American. All that most Americans know about Mormonism is what they saw on HBO's 'Big Love'

2. I can't stand to watch it. Thanks for the update. It is what we thought it would be.
The 2012 Republican rallies may put Palin's Hate-fests to shame.

8. I think you might be right. I think it's going to get very ugly, hopefully it will turn the
moderate voters away from the Republicans.

6. They seem to love him, second to Huckabee. They like that he "going after the unions" and he "walks
the walk".
Or some such crap.

10. Luntz is "focused" on right-wing idiots.
Also, he was wrong on what would happen in 2008 because he was too busy catering to right-wing idiots.

13. I think the theory is to cement that base and then do a kind of double bait-&-switch.
Use them to attract some other more winnable ticket that could even be comprised, 50:50, of right-of-center:extreme-right candidates.

For reals? How can this be considered a legitimate focus group?

into them by watching Fox news and then viewers see people like them spouting the same thing and it goes on and on.

15. Let a group like that.
Nominate the republican presidential choice for 2012. That nominee will get destroyed by President Obama. I feel deeply in my heart that the overwhelming majority of United States citizens are decent and fair minded people who reject hate filled, extremist views.

16. Luntz's focus groups are hand picked to get the results they want.
They aren't a real snapshot of anything other than how Fox news wants to spin their "news".

25. I have watched Frank Luntz focus groups and they appear more
and more being lead or were fed material before
the appearance on TV. The last 3 I watched hoping
to gain some insight, left me questioning their
credibility.

27. They used to be semi-normal. They didn't always just give him the answers he wanted. Those days are
clearly long gone.

I think it is also true that if you are doing a focus group of just Republicans, these terrible stats are not that unusual considering that they actual watch/listen to Faux News, RW radio, etc. They actual believe the garbage.

28. I'm thinking
that I saw a news item......somewhere (here?) that Luntz stated that Fox has been pressuring him to get a certain result. He's still doing focus groups for Fox so I guess that it doesn't really bother him (or he just cares about the money) but Fox putting pressure on him to achieve a particular result, of course, wouldn't surprise me in the least.
