A Republican lawmaker saw political undertones Sunday night in one of the Super Bowl's most popular commercials.
Freshman Rep. Dennis Ross (R-Fla.) seemed to take issue with Chrysler's "Imported from Detroit" spot, which featured an appearance by rapper Eminem and plenty of tape from the Motor City.
Ross tweeted Sunday night, shortly after the ad aired:
"Imported from Detroit"..."borrowed from China"
The ad was meant to highlight the re-emergence of the auto industry in Detroit, almost two years after Chrysler and General Motors went through a government-supervised bankruptcy financed by the Treasury and the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).

From last month...
Tigers celebrating 75 years in Lakeland
The Detroit Tigers and the City of Lakeland are celebrating the longest running relationship in history between a Major League Baseball team and a spring training city.
The Detroit Tigers have warmed up for each season in Lakeland since 1934, minus a three year interruption during World War II.
Many decades and several stadiums later, the partnership still creates memories and money. Detroit Tigers Spring Training now generates about $47 million in economic impact for Polk County each year.

(or from Big 3 pensioners who have moved down to Florida?) But Ross is right, it would have been much better for the Big 3 to go belly up and deprive his district of millions of dollars in annual income.
Idiot.
