I'm really not up for celebrating the biggest lie in American history. Now that we got his 100th birthday done can we move on to real issues instead of burying our head in the sand and ignoring what a horrible president this person was.

And he was horrible not just because he lied so much with covert wars and the truth about his 'lesser governorment' (which exploded the national debt and increased the size of the federal government) but Reagan is the reason we had 8 years of Bush Jr. I hold him accountable for that too.

Let's move on folks. Wipe yourself off and come back to reality thank you!

1. The lie is only pushed by those who wish it were true...
Fortunately, reputable historians will put the Gimper in the proper context.

3. It is primarily the sinister Reagan Legacy Project
But there is a crowd of others behind the curtain.

I skipped the Superbowl yesterday because I heard it was going to be defiled with a tribute to the piece of shit.

4. The Raygasm seems to be a smaller one that I thought it would be.

Without watching the big cable channels, though, that could be wrong.

I fully expected them to ride this all year.

6. What office is he running for?
I have never seen so much time and money spent on a Pubbie that wasn't running for office!

I guess this is part of the GOP's rebranding efforts.

7. Their strategy is clear.
By lionizing the man, they legitimize his actions. Reagan was great = his policies were great.

Therefore, it is a good thing to manipulate government policy to ensure the wealthy elite prospers at the expense of everyone else.

And they're not even 10 years old yet!!

I guess they got the idea that I didn't like him when they saw grandpa's Reagan dart board hanging in the garage.
Oh, well.

13. They'll Keep Finding Things...
I'm predicting any day now some rushpublican yahoo in the House will send a bill to the floor trying to add Raygun to Mount Rushmore or put him on the dime (again) or some other "commenoration". The wingnut money machine will crank up as will the propaganda and those who oppose this are surely "unAmerican".

Then they'll try to milk other "dates"...such as the 50th anniversary of him becoming guv of CA or the 25th anniversary of the Berlin Wall coming down. So many ways to leach off the braindead.

Kinda sad that these losers have to invent their idols rather than celebrate real life success.
