that "Republican" in its true meaning is a "GRE word" - 4 whole syllables. As with many other people who use words that they don't really understand but think they understand, many Republicans don't know how insulting that word is. Using simpler words like douchebag and asshole is really just like correcting someone's misuse of a word that they don't really understand.
