Wasn't the repeal of DADT supposed to unleash a torrent of men leaving the military?

Still waiting for that mass exodus of macho alpha males men from the military we were promised if DADT was repealed.

1. They lied about that like they lie about everything else

Remember, their statements aren't based on fact, not even on sloppily done research. Their statements are based on emotion, mostly fear.

The best thing to do is tune them out and suggest they be marched back to the lunatic fringe where they belong as soon as possible.

2. I don't think you'll see anything happen for a while. The new rules have not been put in place yet.

And they probably won't for the remainder of this year and maybe into next.

And it said no. It said that very few would leave based on the survey.

So don't hold your breath. I think most military personnel who have been in for long already know some gays, so....

4. I don't know if anybody will leave but it still will be a long time

before DADT is repealed effectively. Last week Gates said he thinks it could be done by the end of the year which is Pentagon speak meaning it might be done sometime in 2012. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/28/us/politics/28military.html
