What % of 80m Egyptians are protesting? Have the networks shown the #?

If it's no more than a few million, than I can see why Mubarak is ignoring it for the most part. Bush did the same thing during the Iraq War protests.

1. The difference is
the media here never showed the Iraq War protests, or downplayed/minimized the protests. However, a few dozen Tea Partiers show up, and it's front pages news the next day in the newspapers and a top story on the nightly news.

However, I think outside of Egypt, the protests are making news... but, inside, I'm not sure how open communication is.

3. Somewhere between 1% and 3%, I estimate.
It would be like 3-9 million people protesting in the US, except that Egypt's population is centered around Cairo, which creates a more focused impact. Here, we have many major cities, which would thin down the impact.
