Why is it OK for extremists to come to power in
the US, Israel and Europe, but not the Middle East. Aren't all extremists equally capable of destroying all our rights and freedoms?

3. That's a loaded word. By "extremists" do you mean radicals, militants, socialists, leftists, etc.,

It seems to me the word "extremists" is used today by many politicians and the mass media like the word "subversives" was used before to attack progressives and leftists.

4. That's the truth
Words mean whatever meaning scoundrels choose to promote.
In my world there are objective meanings to words.

7. By definition, anyone who disagrees with you on political policy is an extremist.
And then you can argue that those extremists intend to destroy the country and enslave the people.

And so it is then easy to argue that the "good people" should start getting ready for a battle to the death with those extremists.

9. Really so who killed all those people in Iraq
Who is dropping drones on Pakistan's citizens?
Who are financing the teabaggers, etc.?
Who are using religious books to steal land from the Palestinians?
Who don't want Muslims to own property in America or Europe?
Who want to replace American law with their biblical interpretations?
Who are storing weapons and threatening the President and progressives?
Do you think Limbaugh and Beck are different than the loonies in Iran or any Imam in the Middle East or Europe?
What about the Far right in Europe - no terrorists there either?
Who are all those people storing weapons shouting don't tread on me?

I could go on

diluted compared to extremists who are focused, determined beyond measure, impatient, and will employ any device (even if lacking in ethics or legality) to gain power. History has demonstrated that extremists don't necessarily "come to power" as much as seize it. Examples include the Bolsheviks in Russia, the National Socialists in post-Weimar Germany, and the Iranian religious fundamentalists.

13. The extremists in Egypt are Mubarek and other fascists,
including the leaders of the military. Apart from them, I'm honestly not sure who you're talking about.
