McCain and Rumsfeld clash, again
Source: CNN

(CNN) - The McCain-Rumsfeld feud continues with new jabs on both sides, fueled by the release of the former defense secretary's new book.

Quoting from Rumsfeld's upcoming book "Known and Unknown" during an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America," George Stephanopoulos asked McCain to respond to the charge that he has a "hair-triggered temper" and "a propensity to shift his positions to appeal to the media."

The 2008 Republican presidential nominee said "thank God he (Rumsfeld) was relieved of his duties and we put the surge in, otherwise we would have had a disastrous defeat in Iraq."

...

"He and I had a very, very strong difference of opinion about the strategy that he was employing in Iraq, which I predicted was doomed to failure," McCain said.

7. So, McCain was NO patriot in 2004 as he towed the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld Iraq bandwagon for Rove
Lying to the public in 2004 just because Rove promised him support for his own run in 2008. Yep...that's a perfect example of GOP 'patriotism' at its best.
