and the snipers are firing from a long distance, using lasers and scopes with high-powered rifles.

Only the government has such advanced weaponry.

Nuff said.

I just pray this cycle of violent reaction by NDP supporters (it appears to be mainly them that are still attacking the crowds)ends soon. Maybe world opinion and powerful news agencies will have had it when more of their personnel are abducted, imprisoned and beaten.
