CBC cameraman beaten by mob in Egypt
“It was collective hysteria,” veteran reporter Jean-Francois Lepine declared on his network, RDI, which is the French-language equivalent of the CBC News Network.

“It was out of control.”

He said some members of the crowd tried to help but it was the Egyptian army that finally rescued them. Lepine said he spotted soldiers and pleaded for their help, and they intervened to whisk them to safety.

“That’s what saved our lives. Because without them, we probably would have been beaten to death,” Lepine said.

2. This is madness
I don't know what these Pro-Mubarak thugs think they're accomplishing. Jean-Francois Lepine is a well known and respected journalist in Canada.
