Yes, I have read about the Hungarian Revolution ~ another tragic battle for freedom.

The army is under orders not to intervene on behalf of the protesters I heard from an Al Jazeera reporter tonight. He over heard a conversation where the army officer was trying to get permission to take action and he was shocked when he heard his orders.

This photo seems to prove that the army wants to act, at least some of them. Poor soldier, I can't imagine what he is felling:
