What was the point of recessing on Jan 5th?

We had the votes and all we get is an end to secret holds.

2. As I understand it, we didn't have the votes.
There was a small group of Dems that were holding out to retain the filibuster.

3. Repeal the Senate
How useless they are--just there to protect the rich and powerful, and make sure that wages stay low. Fuck them!
