FML! Are you freakin' kidding me? After all of the progress we've made over the past year, I am still being haunted by Don't Ask, Don't Tell. My tax return ($1959) is going back to the gov't because they recouped my sign-on bonus of 13K 10 years ago! Why? Because I happened to be gay. F**k you DFAS!Our government needs to stop punishing patriotic gay veterans for accepting signing bonuses, supposed unearned contractual obligations, and reducing separation pay over a policy they have now admitted to be unfair, and they now claim to be out the door. In fact, our government should be paying us for our lost careers, and the damages they did to our lives when they discharged us simply for being gay.
