We're taking it to the man.
We were disappointed, if not even a little surprised, that our congressman signed on as a co-sponsor for HB 3, the bill that proposes to redefine rape. He's very proud of it.

On Thursday he's holding office hours, open to the public, in his local office. We are going to be there. Among us will be survivors of the kinds of brutality which the bill seeks to diminish. Among us will be family members of victims. Among us will be human beings for whom there is no valid reason for toying with the realities of heinous acts which are never EVER justifiable.

Even if it's still 10 below zero we will be there.

6. Cory Gardner,
who recently ousted Betsy Markey for the seat. She, in her turn, ousted Marilyn Musgrave. Gardner is from Musgrave's hometown, and is also good buds with Ken Buck who recently lost his bid for the Senate. Buck and Gardner share views on rape and abortion. We don't yet know what Gardner's sentiments are regarding high heels, but he's likely in agreement with Buck on that, too.

8. I really wish I could be there with you!
I hope you get one hell of a crowd of eloquent outspoken people there in his office telling him very strong terms that his bill is very wrong and must not pass! Go Get Him! :)
