Glenn Beck -40% Total Viewers -50% Young Viewers vs Jan 2010
Edited on Tue Feb-01-11 07:57 PM by RamboLiberal
Fox News Channel remained the #1 news channel in January, 2011. This marks FNC’s ninth anniversary at number one. The network overtook CNN in January 2002. The network was down -21% in Total Viewers and -31% in younger viewers compared to January 2010 (Total Day, Mon-Sun), which was a big month for cable news viewership due to the earthquake in Haiti.

Glenn Beck” was down -40% in Total Viewers and down -50% in younger viewers vs. January 2010, and was the 5th most-watched FNC show.

“Glenn Beck” on Fox News Channel delivered its smallest A25-54 audience (397,000) and total viewer audience (1.762 million) since the show’s debut in January 2009.

If he was a network show he'd be cancelled.

1. If it was any network other than FOX, he'd be cancelled.

Gotta love it. Beck's show still gets to be on the air despite dismal ratings, a reputation of offensiveness, and an advertiser boycott that's left him scraping the bottom of the barrel by putting on gold scammers and survival seed salesmen.

But when Olbermann hits the top of the ratings charts, the corporate masters fire him.

Ah, but it's all due to supply and demand of the free market... :sarcasm:

2. I believe the righties don't care about ratings. Many right wing magazines
are not profitable. They only care about getting the propaganda out there.

4. Yep, GB is pure propaganda. Fox could care about GB's profitability. n/t

5. Same with their books...
They're almost always on the best sellers list because those magazines buy 'em in bulk and hand 'em out to new subscribers.

3. "If he was a network show he'd be cancelled."
Especially considering how toxic he is for advertisers now!

Nope, he's still on the air because the FOX bosses WANT him there.

6. I find it hard that even the most RW young adults would watch him.
He is so ludicrously "uncool," to put it mildly. Seems to me that older teens and young adults have little problem sensing "an act," as well.
