My gut feeling is I think that's true, because all the 'experts' are saying that just saying he won't seek reelection won't work, and I'm sure Obama knows that very well.

The feeling seems to be that Mubarak staying until the elections would be just fine, but we don't know for sure -- we have no real way of knowing either way. :shrug:

1. They won't demand Mubarak resign until they know he'll actually do it.

They don't want to publicly burn the guy if they still need to deal with him for 9 more months, particularly when it comes to setting up free and fair elections.
