You're not getting Medicare for All.
You're not getting a Public Option.
You're not getting Single Payer.
If the AACA falls, the best that you will get is the ability to buy de-regulated health insurance from some shitty company with a postal box in the Mariana Islands. In the end millions of Americans will buy this phony insurance and when they go to use it, these companies will either not reimburse or declare BK to get out of their obligations to their customers.
I'm no fan of the AACA, but it's truly the best of a truly awful situation. We don't have enough votes in the Congress to get what we want no matter who is president.
Just like we're seeing in Egypt, it takes a new generation to really change things.
