$17M Lawsuit From Cop Forced to Shave for Obama

That’s one expensive shave. A retired Maryland cop has filed a $17-million lawsuit claiming that his superiors forced him to shave in front of colleagues ahead of a visit by President Obama when he was running for office back in 2008, an incident that caused the officer “tremendous humiliation, embarrassment and mental anguish” says the Baltimore Sun. The officer says he suffers from a medical condition—called razor bumps—that causes his face to become infected after shaving. According to the lawsuit: “ provided Brown with a yellow plastic Bic razor and a small bottle of shaving cream, and ordered Detective Brown to shave right there and then in front of everyone without the use of water and/or a mirror.”

Here’s a copy of the note Det. Brown presented from his dermatologist:

2. facepalm, yes, but what I want to know
is this....if he had been working there for any length of time, it seems reasonable that this medical condition (and the corresponding physician's release) would have come up PRIOR to this instance, and he would have been allowed to to come to work sporting a very well-trimmed and appropriate-looking beard... Right?
I'm not trying to play Devil's Advocate here, I really do want to know how all this went down...

either way, I agree, 17M$=FACEPALM.
