Soon, we'll have no choice
We are going to be forced to eat GMOs. Monsanto is so powerful and are bringing everything they have to bear on Vilsack to approve GMO alfalfa. His announcement is expected within the next few days.

I am for choice in the matter .Once GMO alfalfa is planted and the organic alfalfa is contaminated, Monsanto will own us. THis is about food insecurity. When Monsanto can claim all the seed for its own, they will own us!

Take a stand for organics - Tell Secretary Vilsack and President Obama to reject Monsanto's GMO alfalfa.

Unfortunately, this is not about adding another crop to feed more human beings, but simply another ploy for Monsanto to maintain their stranglehold on agriculture and our food supply and add to their bottom line with their long term strategy to undermine the organic and local food movement - the fastest growing and most profitable sector in agriculture today.

According to Don Huber PhD, professor emeritus at Purdue University and APS coordinator for the USDA's National Plant Disease Recovery System genetic contamination will completely pollute organic and conventional alfalfa.

"Just from the gene flow, within five years of Roundup Ready alfalfa, there will be no such thing as non-Roundup Ready alfalfa, regardless of restrictions government puts on it," says Huber, PhD, widely regarded as an expert in plant disease and biology.

And a link to a letter from a milk producer on how Monsanto has manipulated and staged this whole event. We are under no illusions.

1. Um Monsanto already owns us
they sue farmers because their GM plants end up naturally being combined with regular plants.

4. I'm already a vegetarian, but this will make me go vegan
I don't want to consume their alfalfa "secondhand", and what is the potential health risks of pumping so much roundup into our environment??
