Base in Utah on lockdown
(CNN) -- A Utah military facility that tests chemical and biological weapons was locked down "to resolve a serious concern," and authorities were working to reopen the base, officials said Thursday.

The U.S. Army's Dugway Proving Ground has been locked down since 7:25 p.m. ET on Wednesday, a spokeswoman said. All base personnel were working, and no evacuation was needed, she said.

Dugway commander Col. William E. King IV said earlier authorities were "working as quickly and as thoroughly as possible to resolve a serious concern within the Test Area" but he didn't elaborate.

3. Elaborating is not a strong point
But it doesn't take much imagination to know that they are manufacturing biological weapons out there in that desert.

4. Do not concern yourself citizens!
SALT LAKE CITY – Officials in Utah say the Dugway Proving Grounds, where military weapons are tested, has reopened after it was locked down for hours to resolve a "serious concern."

Army post spokeswoman Paula Thomas says personnel were allowed to enter early Thursday and people inside were allowed to leave shortly after that.

Post commander Col. William E. King late Wednesday announced that gates were locked to both incoming and outgoing personnel, saying there was a serious concern but that no one was in danger.
