Heard on local Iowa news this morning: Branstad (R-Gov. Braindead)
will announce his austerity budget today in which he will eliminate hundreds of jobs and add to the state's unemployment roll. He will also see about "improving infrastructure" to attract businesses. In the next breath, the newsreader states that many of the state's roads are being reverted to gravel because the state can no longer maintain many of the paved roads in rural areas.

Stay tuned and we'll keep you posted on when the fiber optic cable gets ripped up and the telegraph is adopted as state of the art technology.

EMT service to the rural areas and the EMTs are stating that lives will be lost if that happens. See, we're getting our own mini versions of death panels.

And, just coming over the wires, Gov. Braindead is open to increasing a state gas tax in a state that has very little public transportation. It is well known that he does not support the movement to extend short line rail services between cities.

In education, he's alreasdy done away with public support for preschool for our children.

And, get this, the state legislature wants to reduce income taxes by 20%, thus creating a huge pit in revenues that cannot possibly be made up for by his spending cuts.
