Bachmann's gaze
Interesting from a semiotic stance.

She's literally looking past the majority of Americans, ignoring them in favor of a small isolated segment. This segment of the population has no way, electronic or otherwise to connect with the masses that are being overlooked.

Still pondering why the whole thing was so discomfiting. I mean beyond the rattled, jumbled, bundle of keening crazy.

2. There were two cameras.
One was for the Tea Party response. The other was for the Republican response.

I don't know if she was looking at the Tea Party camera or looking at the Repub camera?

It almost had a subterranean, subversive look to it, in my opinion. Very odd.

4. She was looking at the camera for the Tea Party web upload.
At least that's the way I understood it. That's why the CNN folks were less than kind.

5. In another thread, it was established that it was all Tea Party cameras and techies.
I would of loved to be a fly on the wall as she realized and reacted to the incorrect eye focus. The "Gaze Gaff?"
