CA State Sen. Leland Yee calls for a boycott of Limbaugh advertisers
SAN FRANCISCO — A California lawmaker is calling for a boycott of companies that advertise on Rush Limbaugh's radio show after the conservative commentator refused to apologize for mocking China's president.

State Sen. Leland Yee launched the campaign after Limbaugh's Jan. 19 radio program, during which he did a nonsensical impression of Chinese President Hu Jintao's speech with President Barack Obama, the San Mateo County Times reported Wednesday.

After Yee complained about Limbaugh's crude imitation, Limbaugh poked fun at the Chinese-American lawmaker, who's running for mayor of San Francisco.

Limbaugh did not immediately respond to an e-mail request for comment from The Associated Press. ..........(more)

Mayoral hopeful Leland Yee gets racist death threats

Mayoral candidate and state Sen. Leland Yee said racist death threats were faxed to his San Francisco and Sacramento offices today. They appear linked to his recent criticism of right-wing commentator Rush Limbaugh.

The anonymous faxes, laced with racial epithets and misspellings, were addressed to "JoBama Rectum Sniffing Moron LEELAND LEE" and call Yee a "fish head," according to a copy provided by Yee's office.

The faxes include a drawing of a U.S. flag-adorned pickup truck towing a noose that is looped around what appears to be a caricature head of President Barack Obama. The document says: "Without exceptions, Marxists are enemies of the United States Constitution! Death to all Marxists! Foreign and Domestic!"

It also says: "Achtung! Fish Head Leeland Lee. Rush Limbaugh will kick your (insert racist and profane words here) and expose you for the fool you are."

8. On the bright side...
it's good to know that 8 year olds are capable of tuning to specific radio stations.

6. A list of advertisers is sorely needed whenever someone calls...
for a boycott. I have no idea... Last I heard, was more than a decade ago--by accident-- Seems like he was hawking Snapple then... Come to think of it, I've never had a snapple since. Go figure.

9. The only adv I knew he did, long ago was Snapple. I haven't had
any since that time also. In fact, I was just in the store the other day looking for a beverage and skipped the Snapple for that reason.

5. Advertisers SHOULD be nervous about this.
The Chinese-American community in San Francisco listens to Yee, and they will follow through on this.

7. There was another boycott attempt of Limbaugh back in the 90's......
I used to have a list of his advertisers, but found it difficult to find out where to contact, etc..... It sort of fizzled out. He has a lot of advertisers. I doubt it would work. Glenn Beck is still on, and he's lost tons of advertisers. Where would one go to get information on Limbug's advertisers and contact info??? He is really a nasty person.
