The story is basically one about how Alex Witt's friend sued her for failing to repay a $65,000 loan. But, it said that the friend waited until Witt signed a contract with MSNBC for $200,000 (at some point during 2011).

She used to have a morning show weekdays. Now that MSNBC cut down on its prison programming, though, she has been doing Weekends with Witt.

She was with NBC for quite a few years before joining MSNBC in 1999. In 1999, MSNBC still had all Republican anchors, beginning with Imus in the Morning and going clear through to Dennis Miller as a late night talk show host. NBC is pretty much "Republican pretending to be objective."

True, Witt is not one of MSNBC's best-known anchors, but $200K a year is not all that much, especially when you consider prices in and around Manhattan. I am really surprised.

4. I expressed surprise, not sympathy.
I don't even think she is very good at what she does.

I've wondered for a while how she got her job and why she keeps it.

2. I wonder how much she spends per Year on job-related Attire.
That could take a big chunk.

5. I don't know, but it may go the other way.
Meaning, MSNBC may provide her wardrobe.

For instance, on the view, Barbara Walters, who must have roomfuls of clothes by top designers, like Valentino, often wears her own clothes on camera. However, Whoopi Goldberg is often dressed by the show's stylist. So, it could be either way.
