Secession Fever Hits Texas
What I think these people don't understand is that none will miss them and they shouldn't let the door hit them on the way out. With apologies to Texan Duers.

1. I have a ton of relatives in Texas
It ought to be its own country. Not one I'd care to move to... even the Hill Country's being destroyed.

8. What about the $10 million (in 1850 dollars!) that annexing Texas cost us?
(We assumed Texas's debt.)

I believe the terms of the annexation allowed Texas to leave the union if it gets permission of the other states. If Texas is serious, let it seek permission.

If they are not serious, they need to sit down and shut up. It's boring already.
