(Anyone know why Maddow has been saying, "early vote," rather than "vote early?" As in "They early vote because they work on Tuesdays." Seems bizarre.)


Folks, I have not been posting much because the Sandy news scares me and I am like the four year old girl in the video who is tired of hearing about the elction, only I'm not cute about it.

I am, however, very excited to vote today and I hope you are as well.

In Massachusetts, I am crossing my fingers about Elizabeth Warren, Joseph Kennedy III (sentimental reasons--know nothing about him) and Tierney (I don't especially trust him but his opponent is a teabagger who has been running many ads, so there is money behind himd, probably Koch).

The others, all Democrats, seem pretty safe. I think Kennedy will be safe, too, but there hasn't been a recent poll.

And I am mourning because I cannot vote for either Congressman Mike Capuano (redistricted) or Senator Ted Kennedy anymore. They were my favorite votes to cast. I will be interest to see how Massachusetts' favorite daughter, Dr. Jill Stein, does, although of course, she will not win any state, including mine.

1. yes, may things go well in MASS, and also in beating the worst of the worst like Mourdock & Akin

also several House races, like getting Allen West out and getting Grayson back in, here in FL, and Cantor out in VA. And, we can dream too, of Bachmann losing, so let's hope those dream come true.


my final election prediction ---

54 Dem(with the 1 Indy) Senators (hoping one of the Dem longshots in NV, MT, AZ, or ND can eke out a win)
199 House seats

and for Pres, I am guessing no less than 281 for Obama (OH, WI, NH, IA, NV, and as high as 332 if we win by the slimmest of margins in VA, CO & FL. Very unsure on those 3, as we could win all 3 or lose all three, they're that close!) Hoping for no election fraud, more than anything, because I think we got the numbers on our side!

3. and I'm not bragging too much

but I was nearly spot on about the House, it'll be either 199 or 200. I didn't hear any predictions on what anyone thought we might get on that, I wish it was more though. And I was 1 off on the Senate. Florida was as razor thin as I thought, but we amazingly appeared to have pulled that off. The old folks around where I live are all upset, apparently because they're not going to be forced onto vouchers that leave them helpless when a major medical illness strikes... but I digress...

4. You can brag! You did better than the professional pundits.

I am not sure they are always trying to be correct, though. I think, sometimes, they are just protecting their jobs by trying to keep us looking for their thoughts on the matter.

And I do not trust pollsters, either.

They kept telling us that Brown and Warren were in a dead heat and she won by 5 points.



Speaking of pundit's advice, Wednesday morning, one of our local news anchors said, "In the end, Romney lost because he did not win the swing states."

All together now, DUH!

Someone actually got paid good money to write that!
