Green Party Presidential nominee arrested again.
Edited on Thu Nov-01-12 07:15 PM by No Elephants
I posted a while back about Dr. Jill Stein's arrest, with her running mate, for a peaceful protest of the exclusionary practices of Presidential debates.

More recently, Dr. Stein went to re-supply the treesitters (tree hugging not verified, but probable) of the Tar Sands Blockade (anti-Keystone pipeline) and got handcuffed and arrested again.

Because it is every day that a Presidential nominee who has qualified for matching funds gets arrested twice for supporting liberal causes, this was all over the mass media.

If you consider the tars sands blockade's website the mass media.

Is it soup yet?

ETA: Oh, my bad. It's on the Democracy Now website, too.

And Jill Stein's website, where her statement appears.

Watched a lot of MSNBC today, but didn't hear a thing about this, though.

1. Unreal. They are discussing oil drilling on MSNBC as I type, with no mention of

Stein's very recent arrest at the site of the demonstrations.

Indeed, no mention at all of the demonstrations.

We don't have media. We have propaganda arms.

Honestly, I am starting to hope that they all go bankrupt.

Fat chance, though.

2. Depressing as hell, especially considering US is set to outpace Saudi Arabia under Obama's tenure
Thanks to fracking and tar mining, itself highly toxic and environmentally hostile processes that are contingent on a high price of oil.

And WaPo insists Obama will approve the Keystone pipeline after the election, dooming our environment further (but the idiots in our country won't make the connection between that and the recent flood.)

3. Dr. Stein said she was trying to connect the dots between Sandy, the blockade, and global warming.
If the media had covered her arrest, she might have succeeded.

We may as well have Pravda in 1955 as have our feckless media.
