and that sorry and getting sorrier panel.
Hirng a Democrat to be harder on Democrats than he is on Republicans is a cynical, deceptive ploy, not worthy of any major television news unit.
George Steph--pandering sellout. If you saw Sunday's show, you saw him being downright rude and bullying to DNC head Wasserman Shultz while being much less so with his next guest, RNC head Reince Priebus. I am not a fan of hers, but, crikey! If you did not see the spectacle Sunday, the podcast is probably at the website.
George Will--he never met an anti-Democratic or pro-Republican half truth or misrepresentation he didn't like. Such as the Framers intended the Senate to be slow.
(No, what slows down the Senate is the 60 vote cloture rule, adopted by the Senate years after the Constitution was adopted. And, originally, both Houses would filibuster, the House of Representatives being larger than the Senate. So, if anything, if both Houses were filibustering to their hearts' content, the large House would have been the slower one. And that is only one of countless examples of Will's misrepresentations of history. He's the poor man's--the very poor man's Antonin Scalia, who distorts history to suit himself and then pretends that's "originalism.")
Anne Coulter--I once heard her say that Rush Limbaugh should not be punished for his oxycontin addiction because he had developed it after being prescribed Oxycontin. (I guess we're to take the word of criminal addict Limbaugh on how he first got addicted?)
This past Sunday, though, she called JFK our first drug-addicted President. First, he took medication for Addison's disease, including (gasp!) Vitamin B12 shots, and painkillers for a bad back. We have no evidence he abused medication or was addicted. Nor do we have any evidence that Presidents prior to him were not addicted to anything. And "moderator" George Steph never said a word about that totally unfounded, unsupported slur of an assassinated Democratic President. What a turd! He is reason four million, nine hundred thousand ninety nine I will never trust a DLCer.
And, in general, religious bigot and all around ridicule-worthy, Anne Coulter, being presented to a national viewing by a major network as a respectable, credible commentator? Louise, please!
She's the pundit equivalent of a mediocre romance novelist, if medicre romance novelists also had no scruple and were incredibly dishonest, mean and unscrupulous.
This Week gets worse by the week. If ABC wants to air a Republican propaganda show, making it only slightly less obvious than Fox News, they've done a good job. But, don't pee on our legs and tell us it's respectable political commentary, worthy of one of the big three network Sunday political shows.
ABC News should be ashamed, really.
