We need to give ABC "what for" about its This Week program, including host George Stephanopoulos

and that sorry and getting sorrier panel.

Hirng a Democrat to be harder on Democrats than he is on Republicans is a cynical, deceptive ploy, not worthy of any major television news unit.

George Steph--pandering sellout. If you saw Sunday's show, you saw him being downright rude and bullying to DNC head Wasserman Shultz while being much less so with his next guest, RNC head Reince Priebus. I am not a fan of hers, but, crikey! If you did not see the spectacle Sunday, the podcast is probably at the website.

George Will--he never met an anti-Democratic or pro-Republican half truth or misrepresentation he didn't like. Such as the Framers intended the Senate to be slow.

(No, what slows down the Senate is the 60 vote cloture rule, adopted by the Senate years after the Constitution was adopted. And, originally, both Houses would filibuster, the House of Representatives being larger than the Senate. So, if anything, if both Houses were filibustering to their hearts' content, the large House would have been the slower one. And that is only one of countless examples of Will's misrepresentations of history. He's the poor man's--the very poor man's Antonin Scalia, who distorts history to suit himself and then pretends that's "originalism.")

Anne Coulter--I once heard her say that Rush Limbaugh should not be punished for his oxycontin addiction because he had developed it after being prescribed Oxycontin. (I guess we're to take the word of criminal addict Limbaugh on how he first got addicted?)

This past Sunday, though, she called JFK our first drug-addicted President. First, he took medication for Addison's disease, including (gasp!) Vitamin B12 shots, and painkillers for a bad back. We have no evidence he abused medication or was addicted. Nor do we have any evidence that Presidents prior to him were not addicted to anything. And "moderator" George Steph never said a word about that totally unfounded, unsupported slur of an assassinated Democratic President. What a turd! He is reason four million, nine hundred thousand ninety nine I will never trust a DLCer.

And, in general, religious bigot and all around ridicule-worthy, Anne Coulter, being presented to a national viewing by a major network as a respectable, credible commentator? Louise, please!

She's the pundit equivalent of a mediocre romance novelist, if medicre romance novelists also had no scruple and were incredibly dishonest, mean and unscrupulous.

This Week gets worse by the week. If ABC wants to air a Republican propaganda show, making it only slightly less obvious than Fox News, they've done a good job. But, don't pee on our legs and tell us it's respectable political commentary, worthy of one of the big three network Sunday political shows.

ABC News should be ashamed, really.

Or, you could contact This Week, http://abcnews.go.com/ThisWeek/mailform?id=12660077 but I would rather call out ABC News on its programming choices than contact This Week with something This Week would be unlikely to pass up the chain of command.

1. Ann Coulter is wrong again

McKinley was probably a cocaine addict. He apparently was addicted to one kind of drink, the Vin Mariani. A Vin Mariani was wine mixed with cocaine. Since he wasn't addicted to any other kind of alcohol, it's likely that the cocaine was what he was craving.
Taft most likely used cocaine, he pretty much admitted to it. It was in prescription medicine he was taking. Though there is no evidence he was addicted to it.
Grant was supposedly a cocaine addict later in life. The problem is, much about his life was written by opponents of his. But,he probably did use cocaine - If Mark Twain is to be believed.

There were a few that were alcoholics; Franklin Pierce being the stand out of the group

6. Thanks rpannier. I expect her to spew garbage. I don't expect a moderator to let it go.
Especially one who worked in the Clinton administration.

9. Stephanopoulos has been taking the wrong tack
for a long time now. I suspect his allegiances have been in the other camp since forever.

As with the Obama Administration now, many in the Clinton Administration were highly suspect (Dick Morris). ABC is never going to give our (my?) side a fair shake. NEVER. They are a RW propaganda organization through and through. Just like NBC, CBS, CNN and Fox. You will lose your job if you don't carry right wing water. Hey, "You're either with us (fascists) or against us."

2. ABC's "News" program is so biased that I refuse to watch it.
Any program that includes Anne Coulter is without credibility. But ABC is not alone. The NBC program is nearly as biased. I won't watch any of them. They exist only to promote a right wing perspective on the issues.

4. I just read your post, after I read the OP, as I am prone to do,
and you hit it right on the head. Anything with her on it is unwatchable. She should not be given air time. She's disturbingly acidic and absolute in her twisted logic that steals from the truth to manufacture her skillfully crafted negative and false assertions!

8. Problem is, they are all biased. Best I can do is call them on it.

And let as many others know about their bias as I can, so no one falls for it.

Disgraceful!

And I am not in the television ratings sample population, so my viewing is not increasoning their ratings or otherwise helping them out in any way.

I am becoming more and more convinced, though, that we need to go straight to sponsors. But, I do believe we need to speak up. At least, I do, else my head would hurt.

3. putting that grotesque creature on the air assures I won't watch!
I cannot stand her! UGH!

They have no shame, so they won't be ashamed about their actions unfortunately. Really wish a strong independent American network formed that could rival these mouthpiece-for-the-rich networks.
