What's better than Bill Moyers or Chris Hedges? Why, Bill Moyers and Chris Hedges, of course!

Bill Moyers and Chris Hedges: How Whole Regions of America Have Been Destroyed in the Name of Quarterly Profits

Excerpts cannot do it justice, so here is the link: http://www.alternet.org/story/156410/bill_moyers_and_chris_hedges%3A_how_whole_regions_of_america_have_been_destroyed_in_the_name_of_quarterly_profits

1. Thanks, No Elephants.
We know we are being destroyed. This article tells us how.

I like the example of West Virginia. At one time West Virginia held massive mineral wealth. How did that benefit the people? It didn't. They live in utter poverty as the mining companies destroyed the land and lives leaving the people sick and broken. The worst poverty in the nation!

This isn't an aberration, this is a direct result of vulture capitalism. Now that corporations have complete control of the U.S. government we can expect to see the West Virginia example visited upon the entire nation. Get ready for some good old fashioned 18th Century social justice.

"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." -- Benito Mussolini
