I don't know why I've been thinking about her at this particular time.

But I have.

I didn't like her in my very newbie days here. She accused me of being a freeper and all kinds of bad things like that.

In retrospect, I can understand that.

That I avowed that I lived in Alabama probably had something to do with it. As did my suggestion that I think abortion is a complicated issue. That while I'm pro-choice on the issue, I understand, and somewhat sympathize with, the position of people on the other side.

But after a few months (maybe it was only weeks), I began to warm up to her.

She realized I was no Republican, nor a right-winger. Just someone that struggles with shades of gray.

After I got to "know" her a little bit, she would share cooking tips and recipes. And she was wickedly funny.

I don't remember why, but she was eventually tombstoned.

I don't remember if I ever mentioned this to her, but I suspected that she might be the singer Teena Marie.

She said her name was "Teena," not "Tina." She said she lived in Southern California. And she said she was in the "music business."

I hope she wasn't Teena Marie. Because Teena Marie died.

There was a lot of drama going on in the Lounge when she was tombstoned and I don't intend to go into the dynamics of it here because it's against DU rules and it will only ignite further tensions. I was very sad to see her go

I miss Teena as well. She was a wonderful, wickedly funny, kind, generous person who greatly enlivened my early days on DU. I sure hope she is well and things just aren't the same without her

at the time, Karen. (Misunderestimator) Her and Teena were together back in the early days at DU.

Karen lived in Tampa at the time and I met her for some drinks. Beautiful woman...

She moved to Ca and then shortly after broke it off with teena.

I deleted because I thought for a moment that nothingshocksmeanymore was Karen and then I remembered it was Teena.

It doesn't really matter, except that I'd like to think that NSMA is still alive.

Karen was a singer and artist so she may very well have been...plus Karen was one damn beautiful woman.

She was a very good online friend and I'm glad I met her.
