So bad, it's bad: Steampunk Palin
Not a joke, you can buy this:

If there's any doubt Palin's appeal is from thrilling conservadorks in their Underoos, this comic (with 8 pages of Palin pinups) will put it to rest.

It's a post-war, post-oil future, and an evil oil/nuke syndicate runs everything. The world needs a hero. Sarah, freshly awakened from an assassination attempt -- as a cyborg -- is ready to kick ass. And make the world safe for Steam Power! She's a Steampunk!

Oh, and Obama... I mean, Robama... is a cyborg too. His job is to get underfoot and annoy Sarah.

Try to guess who's cast as the evil overlord.

A review, with excerpts:

William Gibson is digging a grave to roll around in.

1. Doesn't a post-oil future automatically prove Sarah wrong?

2. It's also kind of hard to start an oil syndicate with no oil
None of it makes sense. It doesn't have to. Palin fanboys will never notice.

3. ironically, the phrase "drill, baby, drill!"
doesn't have quite the right effect when the "drilling" is done into your own hand ...

7. The funny thing is, other than the cover, the character doesn't even look like Palin..
As a comment to the original article noted, the character is drawn like 1990's anime "sexy librarian" and doesn't bear any resemblance to Palin.

10. Another prime candidate for the boosh liberry!
And the lines are nice and dark so it's easier to stay inside them while you're coloring. That's good.

8. In any other medium this would be a valid case of jumping the shark...
However, it appears as if someone is trying hard to push the skier over the tank.

11. Jumping the shark implies that there was ever a shark to begin with. I think that with this comic

the jumping of the shark is just implied from the get-go.

Which is, in its own way, pretty awesome.

Heyyyyyyyy!
