Tattoo artist sued for inking dung instead of Narnia
Edited on Mon Nov-28-11 08:15 PM by Cid_B
I have nothing to say but... wow...
_______________________
Two trailer park residents in Dayton, Ohio are going to be battling this out in court over the next few months.

Tattoo artist, Ryan L. Fitzjerald was hit with a $100,000 lawsuit last week by his ex-girlfriend Rossie Brovent. She claims that her boyfriend was supposed to tattoo a scene from Narnia on her back but instead tattooed an image of a pile of excrement with flies buzzing around it.

Apparently Ryan found out that she had cheated with a long-time friend of his and this was his way of getting even. Originally Rossie tried to have Ryan charged with assault but it turns out this crafty tattoo artist got her to sign a consent form prior to the tattoo and it said that the design was ‘at the artists discretion’, she claims; “he tricked her by drinking a bottle of cheap wine with me and doing tequila shots before I signed it and got the tattoo”. “Actually I was passed out for most of the time, and woke up to this horrible image on my back.”

8. How is permanently disfiguring someone
"not harmful"? or even funny?

If a guy cheated on a girlfriend and a woman went after him and gave him a generic set of scars the size of his back, would that be funny and not too harmful?

Not harmful compared to what?

11. Except that she WANTED a tattoo
All he did was put the colors and lines in a different order than what she wanted. And it's on her back, not her face.

I'd say that, in the scheme of things, that's relatively harmless.

and you assume she is guilty too? Some guys create fictitious cheating scandals right inside their head based on nothing except there insecurities. And if she did have relations so the fuck what? Are they married? The punishment is life long disfigurement?

Really disappointed someone could remotely find this at all funny.

"I'd say that, in the scheme of things, that's relatively harmless..."

No more, no less than giving a four year old a tattoo-- regardless of form or format. Six of one, half a dozen of the other...

I imagine we'd certainly consider that "relatively harmless" also.

47. Agreed
I'm trying to look a little closer at this and where it might have come from (the story, not the pic) and it seem to be made up out of thin air. Yet, it has been picked up all over the world with almost nobody realizing it is fake and is not credited to anybody, anywhere.

It is a really fucked up story that seems designed to try and make it seem ok to "mark" women. Anyone that agrees with the premise of the article, agrees that it is ok to premeditate the drugging, assault and disfigurement of women any time they feel inferior. A fucked up attitude to have.

It is also a really fucked up indictment of people the world over that they will STILL believe anything they see because it's on the web. Even "news" organizations reprint shit just because they found it on the web.

Sheesh.

My god. People here are one step away from endorsing stoning as a "clever" form of revenge for cheating. There's some seriously screwed up sexism and sense of ownership over women in this thread.

I'd hazard that the metaphorical high-fives being traded illustrated in this thread are little more than one step removed from a male laughing at a woman forced to wear a veil in public-- as it's also "relatively harmless", and "clever but unethical..." and because they're "both morons"... :eyes:

We certainly do seem to advertise our claims on vulgarity in many, many ways.
