Wisconsin: Facebook user advocates burning recall petitions
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Operation-Burn-Notice/127747064001477

I'm not a facebook user. My sister, whom I trust implicitly, tells me this link is "urging people to sabotage the recall effort in various ways, some of which are felonious" and that facebook will take it down if it's reported.

Can anybody help, please?

1. Reported it.
Facebook pulls pages advocating vandalism. I hope everyone else reports it too.

Here's another interesting article:

I've already talked to some old pals in Milwaukee media. (My wife is from Greenfield and we lived in Milwaukee for many years. Mostly in the Bay View area.)

I've told them what I know. But here's what the rest of you can do to get this "Operation Burn Notice" nonsense off of Facebook.

At the lower left of the page is a link saying "report page." Click it.

9. It's a parody page
Edited on Mon Nov-28-11 03:21 PM by karnac
It's been up for 18 days now. Frankly, the claims they make get even more ridiculous each day. One day they claimed they have already burned 500,000 petitions. A nonsensical impossibility.

Every day they take it down, everyday they put it up again. Probably to clean it up.

I believe Facebook is in a bind. It's clear the people behind the page claim to have done obviously misdemeanor and felonious acts, If we are honest so do many real and legitimate Civil Disobedience pages. Pages that actually actually advocate and congratulate REAL acts of destruction and law breaking. Particularly occupation-type Facebook pages.

If Facebook finally takes down the parody "Operation Burn Notice", they very well may have to take down all the real protest sites. Including ones that are doing some good.

That unfortunately might be the aim.
