Every night over Baghdad: the roar of C-130s. They're not bringing stuff in. It's the sound of America going home.

13. Not sure when the last group leaves, but certainly most of them will be.
And those that don't will be home for New Year's, minus the 160 left to guard the embassy.

7. Thank you for your obligatory threadcrapping.
The fact that it has no basis in real facts is noted.

14. American industries won a lot.

Private contractors may still be there, for decades, keeping the seven hundred million dollar palace known as the "US embassy" safe from harm.

Monsanto and other GM firms won BIG! as the Iraqi constitution held various clauses that ensure that no seed for crops may be grown unless they are GM seed. Win Win Win for Monsanto!

And Shell Oil just undertook a massive stake in the Iraqi oil business. Ca-Ching!

Motorola had dibs on providing cell phone coverage for the Iraqi people. Too bad that the Iraqi owned cell phone company was targeted by our jets and the bombs they carried. Oh well. Cannot have communication kept alive during a war.

And Di Feinstein and her sweet-ums, Richard Blum, are enjoying the 16 million dollar home, with a view to die for, that the 27 million bucks in war contracts helped them buy. All wells that ends well! (For some.)

11. Campaign promise kept.
Yes he did want to leave a small group there, but either way the majority of the troops were coming home, the small (under a thousand I believe) group coming home is just a bonus.

12. Going into next year, there will be 160 troops there stationed at the embassy.
These are typically Marines from the Marine Corps Embassy Security Group.
