1. They went to the wrong place. Bloomberg doesn't live at Gracie Mansion;

he doesn't live at the E79th digs either.

Not-so-well-guarded secret:

There's a large rock in the park, about 250 ft west of the 5th avenue and 79th st entrance.

Bloomberg crawls out from under it at 7:30 every weekday morning.
