UofC Davis Chancellor was a student protestor.
"She received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, in 1977. She claims to have been present at the student uprising against the Greek military rule that occurred at that university on 17 Novermber 1973.<2>"

"The Athens Polytechnic uprising in 1973 was a massive demonstration of popular rejection of the Greek military junta of 1967-1974."

I guess she's had enough protesting out of those uppity young kids. WTF???

1. Interesting info, thanks for posting. At this point, I still think that she should
tender her resignation.

2. I don't think they should wait for that

I think she should be fired.

The students were protesting a previous incident of police brutality, so what does she think is a good idea? Send in the police for more brutality, then justify the force they use. Then, after everyone is screaming for her to resign, she comes up with this "Oh, I'm sorry" speech. Too little, too late.

6. I listened to her on Forum today
and watched a video of her apologizing today and I do think that she is very sad that this happened.

I do think that we need to stop vilifying people. The policeman who did the pepper spraying needs to go to jail for assault with a deadly weapon and the person in charge of the police should be dismissed. But what is this villification of the chancellor about? What am I missing here?

7. She was initially very supportive of the pepper spray assault. Until she
saw the the public wasn't behind her on it.
