3. No! They're getting beat in the head in some places.
I see some pictures where they're bloodied and/or look terrified in the hand of police. They're not fine.

5. They're not fine, but they are willingly putting themselves in harms' way in order to
fight the 1%, and to awaken others that the 1% need to be fought.

They are true heros, they are fighting a war which MUST be fought. I honor them.

8. Rare, and only those who try to kick the barriers or make some other
gesture of defiance.

The secret if the Occupy movement is their utter openness and wish to be nonviolent.

They will stay strong!

19. It certainly is.
They are as authentic a group of patriots as those who stood at Bunker Hill. They represent the real America.

6. Don't be scared. This protest is not like the protests of the 60s, in which there were no cameras..
no videos, no recording of the cops' faces. These cops are well aware that their photos and videos are being watched by the entire planet. This is a very different time. If they dare to hurt someone, there will be lawsuits against the cities, towns, etc. We are not in the 60s. Cops don't have it as easy as they did back then.

11. I have never, ever known of a revolution or a movement where at least 1 person has not been hurt
This is not a kindergarten play. It also is not the Iraq War.

12. These are not trained soldiers.
Most are just kids. Idealistic and fearless, but not trained to endure brutal attacks. I am worried. I can't help it I've got it streaming and there are sirens and lots of police all around.

16. They are doing what needs to be done! I honor them! What is wrong with being
idealistic and fearless? The NYPD are more afraid of these "kids" than the "kids" are afraid of them!

17. And does a movement require trained soldiers? I don't know what you're getting at...
I know you're getting at something, but I'm not sure yet what it is.

This is a movement, a protest. In the history of the planet, movements have included students. The OWS Movement does not include ONLY students. In fact, look closely at the protesters. If you do, you'll realize the ages are all different. I'm not entirely sure where you're getting the idea that this movement is exclusively limited to students??

Please explain what it is you're actually trying to say. Thanks.

18. See, this is exactly the sort of fear that got us decades of right wing violence and destruction
When a society gets so scared that they bend over for the right wing, that's when bad things happen.

I abhor fear. I was never fearful, not when I was younger, not now.

Anyone who thinks that fear will get them far, is very mistaken. It does the opposite.

20. + a million
I do have situational fear - I'm claustrophobic and also have some social anxiety. And I'm terrified of snakes.

But I have never felt existential fear. Bring on the change! And one day I will be out in the streets helping it along. When my city finally rises, I will rise with it.

24. Oh I'm sorry. I know how anxiety can be. I had anxiety for a few years due to
deaths in my family, and it wasn't easy to handle. However, I admire your desire to be with the movement in your heart, if not yet in person. It's people like you change the world, you know.

26. This Tim Pool cat is a fucking hero
This is 1,000 times more hard hitting than the reports from Baghdad that made Wolf Blitzer famous.

And he also seems to be a much nicer guy.

28. 'nice guy' is my impression too after hearing him try to get through the crowd in the park:
"Excuse me, could I get through please? Excuse me...pardon...excuse me...excuse me sir...."

About five minutes of that, so calmly...in the midst of that noisy crowd...I would have wanted to scream and run (don't like crowds)
