Finally, people are starting to question Gov Tom Corbett's involvement in the PSU scandal

Why Does Gov. Tom Corbett Get a Free Pass in the Penn State Scandal?

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett has launched one of the most fascinating CYA campaigns in memory, in public everywhere serving as a moral compass on everything from the firing of Joe Paterno ("It was the right thing to do") to the question of whether or not to fire the graduate assistant coach who reported seeing Jerry Sandusky rape a 10-year-old, but did nothing to intervene

On Sunday's Meet The Press, Gov. Corbett explained to David Gregory how Pennsylvania's current attorney general made the decision that Coach Mike McQueary, currently on administrative leave, was more important to the case as an eyewitness, despite he failing to meet the higher moral obligation to intervene on the child's behalf.

Sadly, Gov. Tom Corbett, who was Pennsylvania's Attorney General until last January failed to meet that higher moral obligation as well. For at least six of the 15 years Jerry Sandusky is alleged to have molested children, Corbett was the top law enforcer in his state. The case began, then stalled on his watch.

<<<<snip>>>>>

Corbett did convene and grand jury in 2009. So why didn't he bring an indictment?

2. So why didn't he bring an indictment?
To answer that question you would need to see how much his campaign received from PSU Alumni...you don't rock the money boat when you run for a higher office.

Besides, running for governor was much more important then putting an alleged child rapist in prison.

Parents seek more funds for child-porn victims
Updated 2/7/2008 3:07 PM

By Wendy Koch, USA TODAY
Parents of children kidnapped, tortured or murdered by sexual predators, citing new research that shows hundreds of thousands of child pornography leads go uninvestigated, planned to call today for increased funding.

"We give a lot of lip service to protecting children but we don't fund it," says Erin Runnion, a member of the Surviving Parents Coalition. Her daughter Samantha was abducted, sexually abused and killed at age 5 in 2002.

-------

Waters says he has traced child pornography to more than 570,000 computers nationwide, identified by their serial numbers, since he began such surveillance in October 2005. He has developed software that tracks and locates computers by their Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and serial numbers.

-------

The serial numbers can be used to obtain search warrants, Waters says. "This is the best opportunity we've ever had to interdict guys raping 12-month-olds." He says that 30% of adults who traffic in child pornography also molest children and that most leads are not pursued because there are not enough investigators. He says his office can handle seven warrants a month but gets up to 30 leads a day.

Linda Kelly’s Failure to Report

Tuesday, 15 November 2011 11:21

By Grier Weeks

The Attorney General prosecuting Penn State officials for failure to report child abuse is herself hiding evidence of thousands of child sexual predators in Pennsylvania, and for the exact same reasons Penn State did: money and reputation.

In charging Penn State officials criminally, Attorney General Linda Kelly alleges (fairly) that their actions led directly to the rape of Pennsylvania children. “The failure of top university officials to act on reports of Sandusky’s alleged sexual misconduct… allowed a predator to walk free for years—continuing to target new victims,” Kelly said in a statement issued by her office.

But Penn State officials are rank amateurs in the cover up business, compared to Attorney General Kelly. And if their inaction is responsible for dozens or scores of new victims, Kelly’s own dirty little secret is now resulting in the entirely predictable and preventable rape of thousands of Pennsylvania children.

Evidence of Kelly’s child predators is stored in the Roundup law enforcement database, a national system designed, built and maintained in large part by Pennsylvania state police, in conjunction with their counterparts in Massachusetts. The database holds information on approximately 20,000 Pennsylvanians identified trafficking in child rape videos and other crime scene recordings.

Pennsylvania law enforcement not only helped create the database for these child predator suspects, it routinely plots the suspects’ locations on maps of their state. Yet, the vast majority remains at large, free to (as Kelly says) target new victims.

Make no mistake (because Kelly doesn’t): Roundup is not just a database of “child pornography” suspects, which should be cause for emergency action in and of itself. The point is that thousands of predatory pedophiles in Pennsylvania have given up their locations and identities by openly trafficking in illegal child abuse material online. Sandusky might very well have been one of them.

Circle of Trust Abuse

Tuesday, 15 November 2011 09:00

“Once an offender within the circle is exposed, that circle begins to fold in around itself, acting as a protective barrier for the offender.”That’s the latest from PROTECT national advisory board member Andrew Vachss on the Penn State scandal, who also says, “No candlelight vigil is going to shine a light on the cold reality of circle of trust violations.”

11. Thank you.
I've liked David Keith's acting before - but now it's really plain - he's a stand up guy.

I wish we would stop fighting a losing drug war so hard and fight harder to protect children from abusers.
