I've seen posts that are furious with Obama for not stepping in the OWS fiasco.

What about the mayors? The governors? Other state officials?

As nutty as they are, the teabaggers understood that concept and fought to get their tea-mates in office. We need to start doing the same thing at the local level or we'll be forever waiting for a left wing dictator that will never emerge. And don't forget, the reason for many of the excesses of Wall Street is our right wing Supreme Court. It is more important than ever to take control of the situation and have democratic presidents appoint new justices.

13. the 'OWS debacle' ?? do carry on with your excuses......
I mean, why would the POTUS chime in on a national movement centered on First Amendment freedoms and equality and fairness between 350 million of his constituents......

3. Hint: when you see thousands in the streets all across the country
that tells you that the thousands think the President is not doing anything much, let alone everything. The irony of your statement is sharp, as each of the occupations is a local event, featuring local organizing, engagement with local officials, for many their first knowledge of those officials and the offices they hold. Clearly, the Occupy movement is not waiting for anything or anyone, they are acting nationally, locally, right now, everyday.

5. I think president Obama has proven he is becoming increasingly irrelevant
and not just in reference to this, but in general.

GOP tv commentators always make sure to use the adjective "Carteresque.". Maybe that will help you as you catapult the propaganda

9. It's a whole lot easier to redirect the party than recreate a party
and it doesn't create the problem of "splitting" the ballot.

We need less big personality and a lot more ordinary people to get active in their wards and precincts. I live in a state where the people are well motivated to make change...and I'm glad to say that with the encouragement and support of Unions, grassroots organizations and friends, this is actually taking place in Wisconsin.

Federal involvement. That does not mean the POTUS personally gave orders. This triggers well bellow his pay grade.

This is comming to fork where he will have to get involved, either troops or orders to stand down and a public adress.
