I see OWS as a culture war as well as a class war. It is fighting against consumerism, profit-at-all-costs, and business attitudes that do not care about the communities, states, and nations that have helped them succeed. It is a movement of anti-Randianism and I applaud it as such. Thank you all.

1. We are all

nobly born.

Happiness and joy are states, not things. Temporary pleasures can be purchased, but there is always the aftermath and what we desire next. Our feelings are ours and they are free. Distractions and consumerism say otherwise.

There can be found a difference between wanting and needing. What we need is simple and basic. What we can want can be endless and, invariably, insatiable.

We can each be free of the inducements to trade our states for something, or tie them with chains to things. That's a revolution of another color.

another Duer and I said that one of the things that we loved about this was getting out and talking to folks. Even those that we would normally disagree with are actively engaging with us in constructive debate. We are joining committees, becoming more engaged and consuming less. It feels like being part of a real community.
