Protester Arrested After Threatening Molotov Attack

NEW YORK (PIX11)— Police arrested a protester Wednesday after he threatened to attack an NYC Macy's with a Molotov cocktail and was caught on tape.

Footage of Nkrumah Tinsley quickly hit YouTube, where he caught the attention of the NYPD by yelling that he was going to "burn down the city" during Thursday's planned protest. Police tracked him down at an encampment in Lower Manhattan, according to published reports.

Tinsley was taken into police custody but it wasn't immediately clear where he was from.

According to police, he was charged with assaulting a police officer during an Oct. 26 protest.

the protesters aren't interested in Macy's - they are headed for the NYSE

while this isn't what the protest is about, these types of actions will happen.

once it's thrown and once it lands, the world will be changed forever.

that single cocktail holds more power to effect history than all the protests combined.

But it's a power poorly wielded.

The events immediately following such an action would dwarf the initial action itself.

History will speed up, while life on the ground will come to a screeching halt.
