$25,000 - 30,000 a month ??? WTF???

Amount said on O'Donnell's show that Gingrich was paid by Freddie Mac on retainer.

And the apologist for Gingrich is saying this is a fairly 'typical' number. And he doesn't see the corruption in it.

A conservative! A friend to the hard-working folks that vote GOP.

Except he has a job, so how does he create a job...

Well, see, this is why I'm not rich...

4. I don't think you appreciate the financial figures...
Half of $30,000 (alimony for first wife) leaves $15,000.

Half of $15,000 (alimony for SECOND wife) leaves $7,500

How are you going to pay a Tiffany's bill with money like that?

10. If he put in four 40 hour weeks every month, he was making $187.50 an hour
Edited on Wed Nov-16-11 11:24 PM by NBachers
$30,000 divided by 160 = $187.50
Maybe he was putting in a lot of overtime.

11. retainer means he hasn't done any work yet.
Sort like "we pay you now, you tell us that you'll do a little work for us later."

12. It's that "executive industry" thing again, with a big
dash of entitlement.

No doubt $30,000 a month is a "typical" number, retainer or not.

Most new jobs pay under $20,000 ANNUALLY, with no sick pay or even less vacation.

I have said it many times, and I will say it again, I couldn't care less how much money the old (and connected) white guy network squeezes out of the system, as long as there are plenty of good paying, benefited jobs for the rest of us. But, no jobs. So here we are.

Now excuse me while I go get ready to head down to the local OWS protest.
