1. Buy a generator and remember that you have to "pump" fuel, not siphon it.

Siphoning gas out of a large underground tank is not practical as the low boiling point of gas prevents negative pressure pumping within oly a few feet. You need to pump it out with a positive pressure pump... like an automotive fuel pump rigged to a 12v auto battery. ;)
