Just now on Rachel.

Good grief, Bachman really was absent the day God handed out brains.

http://www.reuters.com/www.reuters.com/article/2011/11/16/us-usa-australia-idUSTRE7AF0F220111116

(Reuters) - President Barack Obama and Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard on Wednesday unveiled plans to deepen the U.S. military presence in the Asia-Pacific, with 2,500 U.S. marines operating out of a de facto base in northern Australia.

(edited to say: I'm not real up on this story, but I thought I had heard a report earlier in the day about him strengthening US military presence in Australia, so I checked Google news for the above link. Is there a later development, or did I maybe misapprehend the story?)

9. They're stationed in a military base. Not at war like Backmann probably thinks
This is the beginning of our Cold War with China. I don't think Obama has much choice but to do this given our and they're moves to be empires. It's not like China has a reputation of being a pacifist country, and Putin has been working hard to make friends with China. In our world it would be nice to think everyone could live in peace. But sadly it's obvious no one is even going to try. Including us.

This move also serves to protect Australia from China, and also the other countries in the area.

Mark my words. There will be many more troops sent to the area. All this shit starts small. Our role in the Vietnam war started with just a few "advisers" sent over there to help the South Vietnamese.

10. Probably as a presence against China. Another Cold War
He'll send more but we probably won't hear about it much. There's a reason why he's claiming we're not afraid of China. And Putin has been making friends with China.

China and Putin are helping Iran develop nuclear weapons and have been for quite a while. Obama is having marines move into a base in Australia. Marines are a definite sign that they'll be ready to defend the neighboring countries.

Our world bases need to move to more strategic places now with China being a threat.

22. Which just proves that the Repugs want to destroy this country
Associating Bachmann with anything labeled as intelligence ought to be a crime in and of itself.
The only reason for it would be if you want the cumulative IQ of the committee to drop to a total of 20 +/- 5pts. The ability to drop it like that is a feat in and of itself...I guess you could call it her super power. Sign her up for the Un-Justice League.

15. Bachmann was completely unaware of it in the morning, then went on attack in afternoon
From NBC's Jamie Novogrod:

Gingrich wasn't the only focus of Bachmann's criticism on Wednesday; she was critical of President Obama's plan to boost the U.S. military presence in Australia. Obama, who's traveling to Australia, said that 2,500 troops would be stationed there. It was an announcement interpreted as a move to curb China's growing influence in the Pacific.

After seeming to be taken off-guard by a question in the morning ("Are you kidding? For what reason?" she responded to a question.) about the new stationing development, Bachmann struck a more critical note in the afternoon.

"The president has put us in Libya. He put us in Uganda. Do you know about that war? We're at another war there, at the request of Uganda. And now, Australia. It's like, what is going on with this guy? Mr. anti-war has put us in what, three more locations, two of which are wars?" she said in response to a question in Webster City.

In response to a question from NBC, she explained afterward: "This is a new issue and that's something that we'll weigh in on. But again it shows that this president has no hesitancy when it comes to utilizing his military, whatever his purposes are, completely incoherent."

(And when it comes to complete incoherency, no one questions Bachmann's credentials!)
